Stress Management

We all experience stress at some point in our lives, it is an overwhelming feeling that we can’t cope!!

Common triggers include loss or change in job, loss of a partner/relationship, change in living environment, financial hardship or illness. The mental/physical manifestations of stress differ between each individual but can include insomnia, agitation, irritability, anger, anxiety & depression, panic attacks, headaches/migraines and digestive upsets.

In Chinese medicine, stress leads to the build up and blockage of energy(Qi) in the Liver.

Acupuncture is a safe and gentle method of promoting this flow of energy(Qi) to reduce stress and relax the nervous system.

Treatments induce a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

Chinese herbs are used to calm the mind and address any underlying imbalances in Yin-Yang, blood-fluids and organ physiology.

Typically a course of 10-15 sessions is undertaken, then the level of progress is reviewed to establish the regularity and management of further treatment.

Chinese medicine is ideal for those who wish to manage their stress naturally.
