Shoulder Tendonitis

Tedonitis of the shoulder involves pain, inflammation and often degeneration in the 'rotator cuff'  tendon of the shoulder. This results in shoulder pain that can radiate down through the arm.

Acupuncture can relieve pain by invigorating the blood flow through the arm and shoulder, releasing muscle spasm and reducing inflammation.  Best results are achieved using acupuncture 2 times weekly. Cupping over the tender areas of the supraspinatus and deltoid muscles assist in warming and promoting blood flow. During recovery it is advised that heavy lifting is avoided. In elderly patients herbs can assist in nourishing the blood to support muscle repair.

Acupuncture is ideal for those who wish to manage their pain naturally.
